I write this as a woman in my 40's who has lived a life.. Not enough life, but I have experienced some of the worst and best of life around Men. I say that sarcastically as I have to just say one thing. I don't know if this is just centered in California "the worlds most materialistic, superficial plastic state of the Universe" or maybe it is Universal now because we Women just became stronger.. I don't know anymore.
I am not a feminist because that has negative and undertones I just wont associate with nor can I support at this late stage of this generation.. seems all the rules changed as we go along. Change.. yeah! Way too much change that I want to barf!
When I was younger, back in the 80's we still had gentlemen. They asked that we women walk along side them or in front of them always. NEVER behind them.. and NEVER would a man allow you to walk along the street side.. That is just a NO GO!.. To have your woman or your female friend walk along the streetside is putting her in danger and giving the wrong impression of her.
And women opening the doors first.. NEVER!! The man always opened the door first and NEVER EVER did a man cut in front of a female and walk in front her in an open door ! That was just unheard of. Just not a gentlemen.
Those days have been long gone here for many many years.. My own daughter was shocked when her boyfriend showed gentleman traits just the last two years of her life. She had no idea of how men were before. Manners has never been a priority for men here it seems.
I don't know about most women out there. But I enjoy being a feminine woman. I always give a man his place as a masculine male within reason.. I just don't get it anymore. It's not just me, many many women complain of this today.. can any man out there tell me why you have dropped your gentleman ways towards woman? I want to hear why this stopped in this world. Why men don't care to show woman any respect anymore?
So we resort to carrying the Sword now as I have for many years ~
